about

Lies is a dark, mysterious, bluesy song that takes influence from bands like Morphine, Masters Of Reality, De Staat, and Queens Of The Stone Age. It is a big city song: harsh, dirty, loud, with ugly nooks and crannies. The lyrics are very urgent because they try to catch the feeling of dayjob-anxiety vs. global misinformation or "fake news" that a lot of people experience today. In the end it's all lies, or is that perhaps a big lie as well?

lyrics

I’m up here watching
I’m down there running
I’m up here watching
I’m down there running
Am I running to?
Am I running for?
Am I in a treadmill
Run just to run just to run just to run

It’s all lies

I’m up here watching
I’m down there running
I'm up here watching
I’m down there running
I look like an ant
Working for the man
Stuck in the web
Creepy crawly creepy

It’s all lies
